Maintenance Mechanic - 1st and 2nd shift

<b> Essential Job Functions </b><p>The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent <b> may perform some or all </b> of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. <br /><ul><li>Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot any issues of mechanical devises, correct issues as necessary to maintain productivity / quality standards</li><li>Control downtime by communicating with all departments</li><li>Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments</li><li>Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories, conserve resources when able</li><li>Responsible for facility maintenance</li><li>Prepare maintenance reports, document and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs</li><li>Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, and comply with company safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement</li></ul><p><b> Education &amp; Experience </b><br /><ul><li>Education Desired - High School Diploma or Equivalent</li></ul><p><b> Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities </b><br /><ul><li>Must have basic math, reading, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to read, comprehend and, where necessary, complete: a blue print, an electrical schematic, operating and maintenance manuals, a work order, repair parts request, standard and metric tape measure</li><li>Other measuring equipment: a micrometer, a caliper, a scale, a VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter)</li><li>Advanced knowledge of machine operations and mechanical functions</li><li>Ability to disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot plant machines</li><li>Ability to overhaul, rebuild and troubleshoot plant machines</li><li>Ability to make simple parts or equipment and tools</li></ul><p><b> Physical Requirements &amp; Work Environment </b><br /><ul><li>Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting</li><li>Walking, standing, bending for duration of shift</li><li>Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs.</li><li>1st shift opportunity - 6am-2:30pm, M-F. Some overtime may be required to meet the needs of the business.</li><li>2nd shift opportunity - 2:30pm-11pm, M-F.
