With a commitment to excellence and a passion for innovation, Lynker leverages cutting-edge technologies and scientific expertise to support the creation and delivery of improved operational weather forecasts.</p><p> </p><p>As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scientific Applications Programmer to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).</p><p> </p><br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><ul><li><p>Background in requirements analysis, software design, development and implementation, including real-time data acquisition and processing, data communications, and scientific and business applications. </p></li><li><p> Experience with relational database systems, familiar with open systems hardware and software. </p></li><li><p>Experience using best-practice programming methods and secure coding techniques are required. </p></li><li><p>Specific experience in C++, Java and/or LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus, along with cloud development experience. </p></li><li><p>BS/BA Computer Science, Programming, Software Engineering, or related fields</p></li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>About Lynker</strong></p><p>Lynker is a growing, employee owned, small business, specializing in professional, scientific and technical services.
