The Production Planner coordinates activities involved with scheduling machines. Interacts with forecasting, purchasing, manufacturing, customer service and distribution. Impacts raw material and finished goods inventories.
Essential Job Duties :
- Create, review and update machine schedules based on actual production achieved.
- Selects products for machine loadings consistent with the capacity plan.
- Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
- Recommend and finalize weekly plant staffing requirements with Planning Manager for scheduling areas of responsibility.
- Back-up for Department Planning
- Follow and Maintain all Food Safety, GMP and HACCP Guidelines
- Projects as directed.
Requirements :
- High level of detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and organizational skills.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize workload.
- Degree in Operations Management and/or 2-3 years of experience in related field.
- Microsoft Excel experience
