Flexo Tissue Printing Operator

Primary Purpose of the Role:

Produces flexographic printed napkins of acceptable quality to order & specification, while operating the work center in a safe and efficient manner.

We have the following shifts available: 12 hour 2-2-3

Pay: $17.50 - $22.96 based on work experience!!!

Essential Functions:

  • Checks for all materials needed to produce the next scheduled job
  • Ensures all guards and safety devices are in place and functioning before operating the machine
  • Determines sequence of printing sleeves, and anilox rolls
  • Loads sleeves and roll stocks onto the machine
  • Completes proper set-up and clean-up of chambered doctor blade units
  • Adjusts machine as required, including printing station, unwind and rewind tensions and dryer section
  • Makes color correction to formulas and dispense ink using the Nova Flow unit
  • Checks and monitors solid color reproduction using the spectrodensitometer
  • Safely clears jam-ups by powering down and locking out machine
  • Continuously checks to ensure product quality and accuracy
  • Reports all material and rejected material, and product labor data for work center as required
  • Checks and replaces doctor blades, seals, hoses and any other wear parts on the machine as needed
  • Recognizes machine problems and communicates with maintenance as necessary
  • Cleans each deck and chamber thoroughly, and washes printing plates before returning to mounting area
  • Cleans anilox rolls as needed in the micro-clean unit
  • Maintains clean machine and work area
  • Actively participates in Zone (Equipment) Ownership, Operating-Maintaining-Improving their zones, and ensuring high levels of Asset Condition and Reliability
  • Performs Operator Basic Care on Equipment, respecting equipment, and treating it if it was their own
  • Actively participates in the Reliability Centered Manufacturing system, executing standard work to ensure high levels of Asset Condition and Reliability
  • Possess a desire and aptitude to learn, practice and train in Asset Essential Care and other reliability enablers
  • Must follow GMP guidelines and report any food safety issues to your supervisor
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Experience Preferred
  • 3 - 5 years: Provide at least 3 years work experience
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
