The Cape Island Foods family of stores is hiring for our Cape May for its newest location, Sliderz Take Out and Catering at the Cape May Airport! We are looking for talented, happy people who love being surrounded by and talking about great food. There are multiple openings for customer service oriented food service team members with culinary/kitchen/deli/bakery experience. Weekend and evening availability are a must and candidates must be available through the fall and holiday season. Both full time and part time positions are available.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintain excellent kitchen safety and cleanliness standards
  • Daily preparation of fresh made sandwiches - rotating menu (including prep of bread/meats/cheeses/condiments and packaging)
  • Execution of additional menu items
  • Knowledge and communication of ingredients and preparation processes
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and communicate order needs to team
  • Engage with customers in retail area
  • Be willing to work a schedule that may change week to week
  • Other tasks as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and navigate stairs comfortably
  • Have reliable transportation for all shifts.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Able to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.

This candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team. They will be detail oriented and have and willingness to learn and develop in the role. Clear and consistent communication is expected. This position requires morning and weekend availability and could be part time or full time depending on the candidate.

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Culinary experience: 2 years (Preferred)
