Quality Manager will inspect construction methods and workmanship to ensure that contractors and employees complete work in accordance with plans and specifications. Additional Functions <ul><li>Develops, implements, maintains and facilitates the company' quality programs to assure compliance.</li> <li>Oversees daily QA and QC inspections to ensure all work meets customer regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Coordinates the investigations of customer complaints.</li> <li>Writes, revises, and maintains Quality Manual. Provides input on staffing levels based on quality requirements.</li> <li>Maintains database of individuals, testing dates, and other relevant requirements</li> <li>Provides training and cross training of staff to assure departmental objectives are met.</li> <li>Effectively manages employees as necessary to ensure successful performance by the department.</li> <li>Evaluates decisions related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.</li> <li>Manage decisions related to sub-fabricator and third-party inspection agencies, code conformance, quality issues, and to QA/QC personnel.</li> <li>Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information in a clear, focused, and concise manner.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience working as part of a team.</li> <li>Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple projects simultaneously. Significant demonstrated experience and knowledge of training, developing and managing people.</li> <li>Proficiency with applicable computer software (Excel, Word).</li> </ul> Minimum Qualifications <ul><li>CWI certified</li> <li>A minimum of 10 years in an industrial construction craft work or quality management system.</li> <li>At least 5 years’ experience directly supporting the QA/QC function.</li> <li>Expert knowledge with testing equipment, calibration, and interpretation of testing results.</li> <li>Heavy emphasis on leadership ability and strong internal/external communications.</li> <li>Computer skills in Windows based software systems.</li> <li>Good knowledge of governmental regulatory guidelines relating to industry.</li> <li>Preparing for, representing the company during and following up on observations after, customer audits in order to meet customer requirements and maintain customer satisfaction.</li> <li>Managing document control process in accordance with applicable standards</li> <li>Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record</li> <li>Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications, associated safety requirements.</li> <li>Perform calculations using algebra, trigonometry and geometry.</li> <li>Able and willing to work flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.</li> <li>Work under exposure to inclement weather conditions.</li> <li>Operation of computers MS Office and other applicable programs</li> <li>Determining disposition, root cause and corrective action in case of nonconforming product or other customer issues in order to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize recurring quality problems.
