Guardian Glass is looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team in Corsicana, Texas.

The Manufacturing Project Engineer is a vital member of the plant Engineering team and provides the Engineering and Operations teams with knowledge, guidance, and project management to improve plant operational and reliability performance.

What You Will Do
  • Determine design requirements, prepare specifications/drawings, obtain quotations, procure materials/ services
  • Prepare cost estimates, develop budgets, and timelines for projects
  • Provide leadership and manage capital projects and plant improvements
  • Create CAD drawings for plant layouts and re-engineer unavailable components as well as equipment/facility modifications
  • Monitor the preparation of working drawings presented by outside contractors
  • Perform contractor management and safety oversight for all contractor services
  • Troubleshoot new or existing manufacturing equipment problems involving designs, materials, or processes
  • Collaboration with internal operations, maintenance teams, and corporate capability groups in project execution


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Experience with troubleshooting equipment, process issues and performing root cause analysis
  • Experience leading complex projects
  • Experience utilizing CAD systems


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience with utility systems and water treatment
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and field devices such as limit switches, transmitters, actuators, proximity sensors
  • Knowledge of power distribution, emergency power, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
