<strong>Job Title: Sr Extrusion and Thermoforming Process Engineer</strong><br><br><strong>Location: Corsicana, Texas</strong><br><br><strong>Permanent/Direct Hire</strong><br><br><strong>MUST have work experience with extrusion & thermoforming</strong><br><br>Relocation assistance is available if needed. <br><br>Our client is looking for a senior experienced individual who has overseen large projects before. The company is Right in the middle of a 35 million-dollar project they will be overseeing putting in 7 new Thermoforming lines and printers for the new product line. The plant makes cups, plates, small dipping cups, lids, and foam products for McDonald's and prints labels on them.<br><br>Flexible packaging background, (plastics) thermoform, injection mold, blow mold, extrusion, printers, conveyors) preferred<br><br>Supervise and be an individual contributor to plastic extrusion process engineering needs. This includes the development and coordination of best practices and manufacturing standardization.<br><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong><br><ul><li>Lead Engineering support for plant expansion to include plastic extrusion and plastic cup printing.</li><li>Establishes, coordinates, and directs plastic cup production and printing process-improvement initiatives involving new methods, equipment, and materials, and defines specification standards accordingly.</li><li>Monitors equipment conditions to maintain necessary performance levels with the plant teams. Directs and coordinates predictive and preventive maintenance Check & Adjust with the plant engineers and tech managers.</li><li>Provides technical operations support for extrusion and printing manufacturing problems. Develops and leads process-improvement initiatives to address specific issues as they arise.</li><li>Develops OEE and quality improvement plans with the plant teams to meet targets.</li><li>Serves as the central conduit for associated information designed to improve quality and productivity.</li><li>Supports materials innovation and savings via internal and external resources in substitution, alternative coatings, and processing.</li><li>Collaborates with design and manufacturing to drive engineered scrap and productivity opportunities.</li><li>Coordinates and delivers training methods and capabilities including machinery, process, technique, safety, quality, and productivity training.</li><li>Provides "OJT for tools, techniques, and methods as necessary.</li><li>Monitors the new and used equipment markets to maintain and research innovations and opportunities with vendors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and technical and trade associations.</li></ul><br><strong> Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's in Engineering Strongly preferred</li><li>5+ years of plant experience in technical and operations management roles - versed in all facets of plant operations and maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety.</li><li>Required: Technical experience to include process support and working/hands-on knowledge of plastic extrusion at large scale</li><li>Desired: Technical experience to include successful process support and working/hands-on knowledge of plastic extrusion, printing, and forming</li><li>Demonstrated collaborative ability in dynamic organizational environments.</li><li>ACAD proficiency is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical skills using standard software packages such as Excel and maintenance work order systems to identify opportunities and validate holding improvement gains.</li></ul>
