Continuous Improvement Technician

This entry level, full-time, hourly position exist to assist in the collection of data for a wide variety of projects throughout the business. This will be accomplished by using direct observations, lean tools, and best practices.<br><br><strong>Essential functions</strong><br><ul><li>Collect data for value-stream mapping, time studies, 6S, and Industrial designs.</li><li>Enter and analyze data to support the Continuous Improvement team while providing suggestions on direction.</li><li>Assist with Kaizen events and projects to support our customer.</li><li>Embrace continuous improvement initiatives through: process, quality, and cost reduction analyses.</li><li>Work with CI Facilitators in a team environment to ensure success of each project, task, or event.</li></ul><br><strong>Experience/ Knowledge</strong><br><ul><li>Requires high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.</li><li>Preferred 1 year of experience with LEAN practices and projects utilizing the following LEAN tools</li><li>6S</li><li>8 Wastes</li><li>Problem Solving</li><li>Preferred background in an RV manufacturing or assembly environment is a plus.</li><li>Preferred experience with operating AutoCAD, Inventor, Sketch Up or similar software.</li></ul><br><strong>Skills & Abilities</strong><br><ul><li>Problem solver with a positive mindset and the ability to listen to instruction.</li><li>Positive verbal and non-verbal communication skills are required.</li><li>Positive decision and judgement making skills.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively in interactions with all organizational departments.</li></ul><br><strong>Work Requirements</strong><br><ul><li>This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 25% of the day, and collecting data from a production environment approximately 75% of the day.</li><li>Requires ability to travel between field locations.</li><li>Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.</li><li>Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.</li><li>This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).</li><li>Regular attendance is required.</li><li>Remote work: not available.</li><li>Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</li></ul><br><strong>Jayco offers a generous benefits package including:</strong><br><ul><li>(2) medical insurance plan options, HSAs, and FSAs</li><li>Family Care Clinic for employees and dependents enrolled in a Jayco medical plan (IN only)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Disability and life insurance</li><li>401k plan with an annual discretionary match</li><li>Wellness benefits</li><li>On-site fitness center access (IN only)</li><li>Health clinic for employee use (IN only)</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits and much MORE!!!</li></ul>
