We've been providing local transportation in Snoqualmie Valley since 2003 as a part of Mt. Si Senior Center and provide all riders with accessible, affordable, safe and reliable transportation. Our Call Takers are dependable and compassionate. We are expanding to include weekend services in July and need folks that can start training in June, 2024 for this important job.
The call taker position is responsible for on-time delivery of service, calling riders, receiving ride requests and timely responses to rider inquiries. As a back up to Dispatch, call taker may be asked to assist with driver inquiries, arranging coverage for service interruptions, and rescheduling rider trips due to other schedule change requests. In order to maximize productivity while maintaining quality of service standards, the call taker must be well organized, personable and efficient. The office must have necessary information readily available, electronically or through posted information or a combination of both and collaborate well to ensure that information is accessible to those who need it in a timely fashion. Call Taker responsibilities include: o Answering phones o Taking and processing ride requests o Using CTS Tripmaster to verify rider information (we train on this) o Providing customer services to riders o Filing to ensure audits will show the company record keeping is consistent and reliable o Handling volunteer ride requests o Making copies o Creating reports as needed o Creation of, copying, and supplying forms to drivers and in-house staff o Monitoring late trips and proactively communicating with Dispatchers to ensure good customer services and on-time performance o Creating processes as required or requested to ensure smooth service delivery and sustainability of business o Assisting passengers with trip changes or trip requests including same day ride requests o Other duties as assigned To accomplish these duties, the Call Taker must have the following knowledge and skills: o Good knowledge of the service area o Ability to handle large amounts of data o Knowledge of Word and Excel and Microsoft Outlook o Ability to remain calm and collected during an emergency o Good organizational skills o Good listening skills o Empathetic attitude and friendly nature o Ability to work with many different types of people o Pleasant and articulate voice o Ability to sit for long periods of time o Accurate typing skills and the ability to proofread work o Ability to work with complex computer programs o Exhibit support of the company and its policies and practices
