Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center (SCHHC) has a NOCS, Per Diem opening for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The RRT identifies and prioritizes the needs of a patient by using proper assessment, leading to required treatment and care with the ability to educate patients on treatments and care of the cardiopulmonary system.

Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy is required.
  • Associate of Science Degree is required.
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner - RCP - license in Oregon is required.
  • National Board of Respiratory Care credentialing is required.
  • Have and maintain Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) / Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
  • One year of experience in Respiratory Therapy and pulmonary medicine in an acute-care setting is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.

Shifts / Schedule:

  • Per-Diem, NOCS

Employment with Southern Coos Hospital is contingent upon an acceptable pre-employment drug screening and background check.
