Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide education to patients and their families on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
• Stay current with the latest advances in nursing practice and healthcare technology to provide evidence-based care to our patients.

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
