Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based treatments to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, share knowledge, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote health literacy, self-management, and empowerment.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional pushing, pulling, and climbing. The ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapt to changing situations, and maintain a high level of professionalism is essential.
