We're seeking a part-time or full-time Dental Sterilization Technician, who is detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper disinfection and sterilization of instruments, contributing to clinical efficiency
- Set up and clean exam or surgery areas, ensuring sanitary conditions
- Utilize medical disinfecting procedures to sterilize all necessary equipment and document the cleaning process
- Maintain, clean, and order the sterilization room, ensuring proper tray setups and arrangement of instrument cassettes
- Utilize sterilization equipment such as autoclaves effectively
- Monitor operatory supplies and maintain an adequate inventory
- Handle impressions, pour them up in plaster, and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate seamless patient care
- Comply with confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws regarding patient records
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Certified Dental Assistant or DANB Infection Control certifications are a plus
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a dental setting is preferred
- Detail-oriented and organized
