About the Team

RDA's Legal and Commercial function is a dynamic team made up of legal, contracting, commercial, IP and trade compliance specialists that support the business in delivering and mitigating risk under existing contracts and tendering for new business.

About the Role

The Contracts & Commercial Manager - Land 400 Ph 2 supports the Commercial Director - Boxer with the overall commercial management of the Land 400 Phase 2 Contract (Acquisition) and Contract (Support) on behalf of RDA, as the program prime contractor. This includes providing commercial oversight, management and support to program leads for the successful delivery of the Land 400 Phase 2 project and by acting as a key liaison between RDA and the customer's commercial counterparts.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or equivalent discipline;
  • Experience in a commercial and financial role in Australian Defence projects;
  • Knowledge and experience with ASDEFCON contracting standards and Australian Defence procurement processes;
  • Experience in policies, procedures and work instructions development under ISO9001:20;
  • Experience in scenario analysis, risk management and contingency planning;
  • Excellent understanding of the administration and management of Australian and New Zealand contract law;
  • Ability to assist in the development of commercial strategies and consistent processes that deliver competitive advantage to proposals and tenders;
  • Must be willing to travel interstate and internationally; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 (Australian Citizenship required).
