The Business Development Manager, will focus on growing Hanwha Aerospace USA’s aerospace and defense business portfolio (OEMs and Defense Primes) by crafting and closing strategic deals that meet current and emerging customer needs.

Reports to: Director, Business Development & Key Accounts

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain a current knowledge of aerospace and jet engine OEM industry trends (technical/sourcing)
Cultivate strong relationships with OEM technical and sourcing personnel
Craft and close strategic manufacturing deals for Hanwha Aerospace USA’s Long Cycle Aerospace operations, which involve the comprehension of financial models and ability to negotiate terms & conditions
Manage and deliver on key metrics, including specific bookings, pricing and NRE targets
Collaborate with Senior Management on the development of large OEM bid proposals, which include financial, technical and commercial elements
Monitor OEM scorecards and communicate changes to Executive staff – work with site management to improve scorecard performance when applicable
Hunt for Hanwha Aerospace USA and Hanwha Aerospace Korea, Vietnam facilities
Play an important role in creating and executing corporate strategy
Participate in select Program Management activity
Assist Divisions with quality/NPI approvals at assigned customer base and with collections at assigned customer base
Submit accurate forecasts, business plans and trip reports on time
Willingness to be present at customer sites

Various other duties as assigned by the Director of Business Development and Key Accounts
Participate in training as required
5-10% Domestic and International Travel required
Physical Demands :
Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.
Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility
Requirements:
Established relationships at GE Aviation in the sourcing and technical communities
Previous experience selling composite and/or metallic jet engine component and/or airframe component manufacturing is a must.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant Aerospace industry sales/BD experience required
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Aerospace & Defense sales and business development.
Demonstrated business management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Intermediate level experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and to communicate and interact effectively with management, users and team members at all levels through both verbal and written means.
