Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Sales Independent Contractor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling to residential clients. The role requires strong communication, sales, and technical skills to effectively engage with customers and provide tailored solar solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their energy needs, and providing customized solar energy solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess potential solar installations, analyze energy consumption patterns, and recommend appropriate solar systems.
  • Deliver compelling presentations on the benefits of solar energy, highlighting cost savings, environmental impact, and government incentives.
  • Collaborate with a team of solar installers and technicians to ensure smooth project execution from start to finish.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales reports, project proposals, and client agreements.
  • Attend industry events, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on the latest solar technologies and market trends.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local and national solar policies, incentives, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously seek out new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, door knocking and referrals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work independently and manage your own schedule while meeting sales targets and deadlines.
Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a successful Solar Sales Independent Contractor or a related sales role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with solar sales software, customer relationship management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel locally for site visits and client meetings.
