Job Summary:

The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to paying invoices by verifying and completing payable and receivable transactions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
  • Makes various month-end entries to accrue payables and assist in month-end processing.
  • Assists newly acquired locations in setup and procedure.
  • Works with the offshore team to ensure coding is correct and processes followed.
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 year of related experience.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a diverse group.
  • Demonstrated organizational, math, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals effectively to drive results at all levels of the organization; both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle conflict.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated results oriented.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed; including weekends.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree preferred.
