Division of Health Improvement Director

  • New Mexico
  • State Of New Mexico

The New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) will become the New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) on July 1, 2024. As part of the reorganization, the HCA will have oversight of the Division of Health Improvement (DHI) (which is currently at the New Mexico Department of Health). The mission of the HCA is to ensure New Mexicans attain their highest level of health by providing whole-person, cost-effective, accessible, and high-quality health care and safety net services. The HCA will serve half of all New Mexicans across the state. The HCA is seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader to serve as the Director of DHI, who will report to the HCA Deputy Cabinet Secretary. DHI is the compliance oversight authority for licensed healthcare facilities and community-based waiver programs that serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DHI ensures healthcare facilities and providers deliver safe and effective health care and services to New Mexicans. The DHI Director will oversee all aspects of the Division.
