Numisma Bank's leadership team is comprised of former senior executives with Goldman Sachs, White & Case, Morgan Stanley, and Dimensional Fund Advisors.<br><br>This newly formed, fully funded bank offers an extremely attractive opportunity to be engaged in the early stages of a high growth global unicorn that is backed and led by preeminent industry leaders.<br><br><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW</strong><br><br>The Cloud Engineering and Cybersecurity lead is a crucial role within the Technology operations of Numisma Bank. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the bank's cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity measures. This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer of the bank and work closely with development teams, IT operations, and senior leadership to ensure the secure, scalable, and efficient delivery of cloud-based services and solutions.<br><br><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><br><strong>Cloud Infrastructure Design and Management</strong><br><ul><li>Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure cloud platform</li><li>Develop and maintain cloud architecture and deployment strategies that align with business goals and compliance requirements.</li><li>Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.</li></ul><br><strong>Cybersecurity Strategy and Implementation</strong><br><ul><li>Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect the bank's data, applications, and infrastructure.</li><li>Implement and manage security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address security risks.</li></ul><br><strong>Hands-On Technical Leadership</strong><br><ul><li>Engage in hands-on technical work, including cloud infrastructure setup, automation scripting, and security configuration.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and support to development and operations teams on cloud and security best practices.</li><li>Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to security standards in software development.</li></ul><br><strong>Automation and DevOps Integration</strong><br><ul><li>Design, implement and manage cloud native technology solutions and integration layer for SaaS vendor products</li><li>Integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring continuous security throughout the development lifecycle.</li><li>Utilize automation tools and scripts to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention in cloud and security operations.</li></ul><br><strong>Incident Response and Management</strong><br><ul><li>Develop and maintain an incident response plan to address security breaches and other emergencies.</li><li>Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, mitigation, and post-incident analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage and resolve security incidents effectively.</li></ul><br><strong>Compliance and Risk Management</strong><br><ul><li>Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as FFIEC, GDPR and other financial industry standards.</li><li>Identify, assess, and manage risks related to cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.</li><li>Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential security threats.</li></ul><br><strong>Continuous Improvement and Innovation</strong><br><ul><li>Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud engineering and cybersecurity.</li><li>Drive initiatives to enhance the bank's cloud infrastructure and security posture.</li><li>Promote a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management within the technology division.</li></ul><br><strong>Collaboration and Stakeholder Management</strong><br><ul><li>Collaborate closely with development teams, IT operations, and senior leadership to ensure alignment on cloud and security initiatives.</li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding cloud and security strategies, projects, and issues.</li><li>Provide regular updates to senior leadership on cloud infrastructure performance, security posture, and risk management activities.</li></ul><br><strong>Training and Mentorship</strong><br><ul><li>Organize and conduct training sessions on cloud and cybersecurity best practices for team members and stakeholders.</li><li>Mentor and support the professional development of team members, fostering a learning environment.</li><li>Encourage knowledge sharing and skill enhancement within the team.</li></ul><br><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 12+ years of experience in engineering lead roles, preferably in financial institutions</li><li>6+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering and cybersecurity within the financial services or fintech sector.</li><li>Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure) and related services.</li><li>Certified in relevant cloud and cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Azure Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM).</li><li>Proven ability to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks.</li><li>Strong technical background with proficiency in scripting and automation tools.</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Additional certifications such as Azure Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.</li><li>Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance within the banking industry.</li><li>Demonstrated success in driving cloud and security initiatives in a startup environment.</li></ul><br><strong>GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION</strong><br><br>Numisma Bank is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut and is commutable via car and mass transit from the tristate area.
