We have a brand-new opening for a Director of Construction Engineering Services with a successful, established client located in Stamford, CT. This person will help grow this new office as they oversee departmental operations, ensuring successful project completion while meeting contractual obligations, codes, and internal standards. Responsibilities:

- Manage project adherence to plans, timelines, and resources.

- Assist EVPs in communicating and promoting company values, policies, and procedures.

- Review and finalize reports, bids, specs, and drawings.

- Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers to assign work and ensure design completion.

- Represent clients in bidding and contracting processes.

- Resolve project issues and discrepancies.

- Prepare payment estimates based on inspection reports.

- Manage multiple projects within specifications and budget.

- Provide leadership and problem-solving guidance.

- Coordinate kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings.

- Conduct on-site inspections and document conditions.

- Organize project records, files, and drawings.

- Review plans and correspond with clients, attorneys, and contractors.

- Prepare investigation reports, bid docs, and cost estimates.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is preferred

- OSHA-10 Certification preferred

- Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred

- Ability to work independently or collaboratively

- Travel to client sites and fieldwork required

- Proficient in reading construction drawings
