General Definition of Work
Performs secretarial and clerical duties in the processing of payments and correspondence for the Municipal Court.
Essential Functions
• Receives payment for fine and court costs.
• Enters parking violations into the computer.
• Enters Entry of Appearance data from attorneys; records court date; files copies; notifies attorneys of appearance dates and times.
• Processes Change of Judge requests; prepares reassignment forms.
• Researches all delinquent pay agreements.
• Receives and processes monthly community service completion reports from jail.
• Provides information to state and federal investigators and military recruiters; processes background checks.
• Copies and disperses New Court Date memos to defendants.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Read and interpret written materials and directions.
• Print or write manually or on appropriate equipment.
• Performs basic mathematic functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in secretarial or personnel assistant work.
Salary per hour $14.80, plus a generous benefit package.
  • Bi-weekly pay periods.
  • Twelve paid holidays per year.
  • 96 hours of vacation - accrued throughout the year.
  • 96 hours of sick leave - accrued throughout the year.
  • 2 days of personal leave per fiscal year. Must be employed on July 1 of the fiscal year to receive.

  • City paid monthly life insurance for employee only (1 times annual salary up to $50,000).

  • Optional vision insurance purchased at employee's expense.

  • Total compensation value (Hourly starting rate plus benefits value) for this position is $22.99 hourly/$47,826 yearly.

Before final appointment, successful applicant will be required to successfully complete a drug test, background investigation and pre-employment physical.
