Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team at a small rural hospital in Northern California. As an FNP, you will play a vital role in providing primary care services to individuals and families in our community.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapies as appropriate, adhering to state regulations and hospital protocols.
  • Provide patient education on preventive care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, including specialists, to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Stay current with advances in healthcare practices and regulations through continuing education and professional development activities.

  • Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from a recognized certifying body.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an FNP, preferably in primary care or a similar setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, culturally sensitive care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate to the rural Northern California area.
