Training and Development Manager

This position coordinates KANA staff training and career development functions to align with KANA's mission, vision, and strategic goals; assists Human Resources and KANA leadership with planning, creating, monitoring and assessing organizational, departmental, and individual team member career development and succession planning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Supports the organization's mission and goals and quality standards. Incorporates KANA's core values of Courtesy, Caring, Respect, Sharing, and Pride in all activities and decisions. Upholds KANA's Code of Ethics by conducting professional activities with honesty, integrity, respect, fairness, and good faith in a manner that reflects positively upon the organization. Works in conjunction with KANA leadership, Human Resources, and individual programs to identify training needs that meet organizational goals and initiatives while supporting staff in working at their highest level. Serves as an overarching strategic leader of training and education for the organization; provides ongoing training and career development support and guidance to KANA all-staff. Coordinates, designs, and delivers leadership training to support all levels of management throughout the organization. Collaborates with department directors and managers to provide training and career development support, with the primary focus of promoting a culture of engagement and high performance. Promotes learning management systems and delivery of effective training in a variety of ways in order to best serve all participants. Serves as the administrator for all LMS platforms and creates tailored training as needed. Administers sustainable training and career development plans, participates in process improvement initiatives associated with training and career development, and continually works to align strategic training and development initiatives to KANA's mission, vision, and core values. Prepares and delivers high quality instruction following effective best practices, accounting for cultural competence and differences in individual learning styles. Establishes effective interpersonal relationships with staff and outside agencies; promotes an atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm and participation in KANA's staff training and career development initiatives. Manages individual development plans, succession planning initiatives, and ensures appropriate coaching and mentorship programs are developed and maintained. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop apprenticeship opportunities and career pipelines.
