Description Position at HNI Corporation HNI Corporation, an industry leader in office furniture design and manufacturing is hiring a Sr. Business Analyst (Retail Brand Websites & eCommerce).We are hiring a Sr. IT Business Analyst with experience in web and digital technologies to join our team in Muscatine, Iowa. At HNI we have a sizable footprint on of externally facing websites as well as several custom applications to run our day-to-day commercial operations. Our Web and Digital Team of business analyst and project managers partner with our developers to provide the requirements, customizations and process leadership that drives much of HNI's growth.In this position you will have an in-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and will actively participate in leading requirements gathering, discussing design, planning user acceptance testing, implementation of a variety of web and digital projects. This role will analyze our business process and needs and identify opportunities for improvement and customization through incremental changes through our agile process. The role will also assist in translating these requirements for development and partnering with them in understanding the technical solution.In addition to supporting the business and being the bridge between business requirements and technical solution, this role will help mentor and lead our junior members through modern agile processes.Finally, our ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with solid visual and written representation skills. Our business analysts help our users understand their needs and identify solutions through wireframes, and mock-ups created using a visualization tool such as Figma, Canva or a similar this role, you will:Understand business and propose the best implementation strategyStrong understanding of current and future eCommerce and CMS capabilities and limitations and can clearly communicate those to customers and make recommendations to leverage applicable featuresDemonstrate eCommerce and CMS capabilities by implementing Proof of Concept pilots and producing the supporting for identification and inventory of customer process pain points, other requirements and gaps in best practices.Conduct requirements and facilitate solution concept workshopsLead and facilitate business process analysis and automation discussionsCreate detailed design and configuration specificationLead and conduct analysis of systems specifications and use analysis / diagramming tools to represent business / technical processes.Provide user experience modeling/wireframesEngage with business stakeholders to gather/analyze requirements and map them to solutions that leverage eCommerce and CMS functionality.Lead testing practices and heavy involvement in user acceptance test planningMaintain collaborative relationships with external vendors to achieve project goals, where necessary.Ability to walk Business and Development teams through wireframes and prototypes to convey refinement of business requirementsParticipate in the creation and management of team best practices, standards and policiesAbility to communicate with various stakeholders across the organizationMentor junior Business Analysts in completing their job duties and building team skillsets and agile mindsetYou have:5+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Consultant for a professional services consulting + years experience in Quality Assurance3+ years experience with troubleshooting and application support3+ years experience with technical documentation and requirements writing3+ years CMS technologies (Drupal preferred, not required)3+ years Digital Asset Management technologies (Acquia DAM and Cloudinary preferred)1+ years eCommerce technologies (not required)3+ years experience in facilitating joint application development design sessions 3+ years experience in indirectly managing development tasks or previous development work3+ years experience working on projects with data migration, system integration and custom applicationsKnowledge of Cloud implementations and management preferredUnderstanding of System Release Management, Implementation & Adoption3+ years experience in communicating project/program status, risks and mitigations to internal stakeholders and sponsorsExperience with Agile delivery methodologies (SAFe)Experience with A Visualization tool for wireframing, collaboration, and prototyping like Figma, Canva or Adobe XD Other Skills:Demonstrated ability to perform application end-user support.Technical knowledge of PC hardware and software products and support.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Demonstrated understanding of service level agreements.We look forward to hearing from you!HNI Corporation (NYSE: HNI) is a manufacturer of workplace furnishings and building products, operating under two segments.
