Relief Operator II - Hydro

This applicant pool may be used to fill additional openings within 120 days of the posting close date. <br /> <br /> <strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> <br /> <ul><li> Assist Hydro Operations and Maintenance departments to perform various preventative maintenance and miscellaneous operational duties. </li> <li> Must become proficient with Hydro Operator duties in order to upgrade to provide relief as needed for shift replacement and supplement. </li> <li> Perform duties to ensure safe, reliable, and economical operation of the Hydro system in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and MP safety and environmental procedures, rules, laws, and regulations. </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION:</strong> <br /> <ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent. </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:</strong> <br /> <ul><li> Six months or more job related work experience. <ul><li> Related experience may include but not limited to: General labor in an outdoor setting, operating equipment such as a plow truck or skid steer. Operation in a control room setting managing multiple tasks of varying priorities simultaneously. Working in a setting where your daily task assignments and work hours may vary on a regular basis. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> <br /> <ul><li> This position will report regularly in person to Carlton, MN. </li> <li> Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. </li> <li> This position will require the employee to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate within 3 months. This position does NOT require a CDL. </li> <li> Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position. </li> <li> Must be: <ul><li> Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel, and develop proficiency with PI, Maximo, and Oracle. </li> <li> Able to use a respirator. </li> <li> Able to work 24/7 rotating shifts.
