Position Summary:This QC Labs Operations Manager position oversees multiple on-site laboratories that include microbiology, physical testing, and analytical testing for final product release, raw material qualifications, and environmental monitoring. This position works as a collaborative team member and leader to establish department goals and objectives to drive business results and a continuous improvement culture. This quality group consists of approximately 110 personnel, including supervisors, scientists, engineers, and technicians, and supports the overall site operations team, a ₠750 million franchise. Location: Onsite Jaffrey, NH Duties Include:Lead, manage and develop qualified staff to ensure effective execution of tasks, GLP and cGMP compliance, and to attain operational and development goals.Drive continuous improvement with a focus on reducing lab lead time, developing effective capacity modeling to address future constraints, and improving overall lab efficiencies.Provide sound quality input to change control and CAPA management, SOP development and maintenance, and validation planning and execution (e.g. test methods, equipment, software).Develop and implement standardized metrics that guide actions and promote continuous improvement (e.g. first pass testing).Provide support to Operations, R&D, and Validation (raw materials) groups in troubleshooting and development of lab technologies and continuous improvement programs. Utilize sound statistical based facts to bring value to the customer.Drive process improvements through thorough risk mitigation activities and investigations that utilize effective root cause analysis.Implement and maintain tracking and trending to identify potential out of trend conditions and proactively mitigate. <br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications:</b> <br> <br>BS degree in a scientific/technical discipline. 5+ years' experience leading a complex organization in a manufacturing setting with proven track record of successful performance and advancement.<br> <br> <b>Preferred Qualifications:</b> <br> <br>Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD).Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.ASQ CQE, CQM.Proven strong leadership skills with ability to motivate, inspire, and build a high performing team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.Ability to manage in a complex, matrixed, and fast paced environment. Able to triage workload effectively to drive departmental focus.Requisite confidence and experience to drive effective, pragmatic, and risk-based decisions.High intellectual horsepower and proven problem-solving ability. Strong decision maker.Collaborative and motivated team player.
