Please do not share outside of the organization.</b> <br> <br> <b>Your Role</b> <br> <br>As a Project Engineer III, you will be primarily responsible for managing and/or supporting minor and major capital projects of up to $20MM at (7) manufacturing and shipping locations in the eastern USA. Need to support other sites in North America may be required. You will provide support as subject matter expert in automation / controls engineering for manufacturing equipment, utilities, and building infrastructure as it pertains to a manufacturing environment. <br> <br>You will have the responsibility for managing design, engineering, regulatory permitting, management of change inputs, risk management, developing schedules and tracking, creating request for proposal, associated documentation, creating purchase orders, tracking actual spent versus budget and committed spend, safe execution, equipment/construction management, communicating and coordinating with the stakeholders and end users, and managing and external firms and contractors, suppliers. focus on equipment design, process development, optimization, validation, process control, and quality. In this dynamic environment, the successful candidate must be an enthusiastic team player and apply their high energy, strong engineering skills, and a combination hands-on / analytical approach to problem solving while working collaboratively within a matrixed organization.<br> <br> <ul> <li>Execute projects including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling and closure.</li> <li>Secure required resources, and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.</li> <li>Engage proactively with the team in utilizing lean and value-added project management processes.</li> <li>Ensure timely start-up and commissioning in alignment with project, production, and maintenance teams. </li> <li>Maintain project files on shared resources such as network drives, SharePoint, etc. in real time. </li> <li>Train, coach, develop and mentor engineering and maintenance staff on matters related to Mechanical engineering. </li> <li>Perform duties at an elevated degree of professionalism, independence, and sense of ownership with a sense of urgency.</li> <li>Independently identify and drive projects focused on cost savings, cost avoidance, process improvement, and sustainability.</li></ul> <br> <b>Who You Are</b> <br> <br> <b>Minimum Qualifications:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or related field) with 5-8 years of experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment. </li> <li>Capital projects management with responsibilities including projects design, engineering, equipment, execution, budgetary, contractor management and documentation.</li> <li>Related engineering experience in chemical, food, or pharmaceutical industry. </li></ul> <br> <b>Preferred Qualifications</b> <br> <ul> <li>MS degree in Engineering desirable.</li> <li>Project Management Professional Certification (PMI PMP) or ability to obtain within one year of hire. Works comfortably in production environments and has a combination hands-on / analytical approach to problem solving.</li> <li>Project Management Professional Certification (PMI PMP) or ability to obtain within (2) years of hire.</li></ul> <b>Job specific Competencies & Skills</b> <br> <ul> <li>Strong technical knowledge in automation engineering with respect to safety, equipment design, related specifications, reviewing and commenting on technical drawings, knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as pumps, piping, robotics, IT/OT, and utilities</li> <li>Good skill in identifying interdependencies and ensuring alignment within projects. </li> <li>Communicate actively with all stakeholders at all levels within the organization such as project management office, production unit heads, other relevant group functions to achieve best and aligned results. </li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and meeting management skills. </li> <li>Excellent, disciplined and demonstrated documentation skills. </li></ul> <ul> <li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suit, proficiency with MS Project, Solidworks (or equivalent), and AutoCAD 2D to manipulate or modify 3d models or drawings. </li></ul> <ul> <li>Ability to understand and provide technical direction to assure compliance with MilliporeSigma's and external regulatory agencies' policies, codes, standards, and regulations.</li> <li>Good understanding of safety and environmental procedures and requirements for automated equipment or project related work.</li></ul> <br>The Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
