Project Manager - Land Surveying

Job Description Job Description We are an established Land Surveying company seeking an eager Project Manager. Successful candidate must be highly motivated, organized, and proficient in AutoCAD. Projects rage from small residential to large scale commercial development. Typical efforts include boundary surveys, topographic surveys, As Built surveys, and Elevation Certificates. Candidate will be required to review plans, implement edits and changes into already drafted plans, communicate with construction clients, set up field crews, and much more. 
Job Summary We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team! As a Project Manager you will be working closely with our Professional Land Surveyor and Office Management to review and finalize Survey Plans in Carlson to specifications that are detailed, accurate, and visually appealing. You will follow company CAD guidelines for all processes, including naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards. The ideal candidate has experience with Carlson Software and Land Surveying, excellent communication skills, and works well within a team environment. Experience in modeling, GIS and drone surveying is a plus. 
Responsibilities 
  • Communicate with field crews on a daily basis and manage all drafting services and deliverables. 
  • Splid knowledge of boundaries, ALTA surveys, As Built surveys, and residential and construction field surveying  
  • Prepare drawings and relevant documents such as subdivision maps, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, Foundation Location Plans, and Elevation Certificates.  
  • Creating and/or altering drawings to meet company standards. 
  • Prepare field work for survey crews, including search points, construction stakeout and setting up control.
  • Prepare all final drawings with appropriate additions (legal descriptions, etc.) for signature.
  • Calculate stakeout locations for field crews
  • Prepare metes & bounds descriptions based on tax records, filed maps, and title reports.
  • Prepare construction AsBuilt plans that meet client requirements. 
  • Coordinates with other drafters and trains in areas necessary.
  • Involvement in every aspect of plan preparation and production.
  • Downloading survey field data and prepare DWG files for drafters.
  • Identifying problems and providing solutions.
  • Follow all company guidelines for best practices.
  • Track all time spent on projects accurately.
  •  Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
Qualifications
  • 3 plus years related Civil/Survey experience.
  • Experience working with Carlson or similar software.
  • Experience interfacing with survey field crews.
  • College degree or technical school in Civil/Survey related field preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Goal oriented and highly organized.
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Self-motivated, team player.

   Job Type: Full-time
  Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.

Schedule:
  • Our office operated from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday though, in this position the hours may extend past these times. We offer a flexible work schedule as long as the work is getting done and communication is on point. 
Education:
  • Associate degree or some college in a relevant field. 
  • Someone continue their education in Land Surveying is preferred. 
Experience:
  • Land surveying: 3 to 5 years preferred. 
License/Certification:
  • Surveyor License not required.  
  • Driver's License required
Work Location: In office in Westampton, NJ and in various field locations around NJ
