The Lacroix group a constantly expanding family company specializing in the manufacture of containers for the food industry has an opening for a Full-Time Production Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following:


How You Will Make An Impact

As our Production Manager, you will lead the manufacturing team on the factory floor to make products that deliver our promised consumer experience. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the plant and the team will look to you for technical guidance and alignment of operational plans to ensure optimal performance, and meet short- and long-term goals for safety, quality, production, cost, service & ultimately our customers.  

Ideal Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or in a manufacturing-related field OR Equivalent Work Experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role
  • 5+ years of experience working in working in industrial companies, and experience working in a facility day to day tasks
  • People leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Aptitude to lead your department to achieve the overall site strategy
  • Good communication skills with all departments/positions and conflict solver on day-to-day activities.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong computer aptitude and analytical skills
  • Operational Financial acumen, capital management and budget knowledge as well as ability to interpret and analyze financial data
  • Experience leading an organization of 25+ employees (3 shift Operations), preferred
  • Ability to meet key performance metrics
  • Flexibility to recognize opportunity and lead change
  • Managerial courage to assess and take calculated risks
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to motivate a team
  • Excellent facilitation and delegation capability
  • Physical Requirements: Stairs, Conveyors, Lifting
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish, preferred

What you’ll need to be successful in this position

  • Plan production orders and raw material purchases, to meet customers’ demands.
  • Lead and engage the entire operation of the plant including safety, quality, production, maintenance, shipping & receiving
  • Good communication skills with all departments/positions and conflict solver in day-to-day activities.
  • Experience in operational leadership experience in a collaborative, cross-functional, team-driven environment
  • Set/adjust plant priorities and make decisions to meet fast-paced and dynamic business and customers demands
  • Manage P&L to control manufacturing and conversion costs within budgetary limits to ensure profitable long-term growth
  • Proven ability to identify and deliver against key performance metrics
  • Develop and execute operational strategies by working with all levels of the organization to ensure company goals in safety, quality, productivity, customer service, and cost are met
  • Provide guidance and partner with managers on staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management to develop salaried & hourly team members
  • Continuously keep up to date on current organizational and industry knowledge/practices and provide technical guidance for In-Mold Containers and operations
  • Value safety as a top priority and work closely with the safety department to enhance current safety protocols and procedures
  • Support the IML group integration initiative by working closely with business unit leaders to identify and implement improvements and advancements
