Production Assembler

Spartan Industrial & Marine, a Singer Industrial Company, is searching for a Production Assembler in Belle Chasse, LA . Job Summary:

The primary responsibility for the Production Assembler is to assemble required hydraulic and industrial hoses while maintaining safety and quality. Work well in a team environment while assisting others for the benefit of our customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Fills customer orders
• Read and interpret build documentation, assembly procedures and testing procedures.
• Ensure correct materials and quantities are used on production orders.
• Precisely assemble hydraulic and industrial hoses and components to meet customer specifications with an emphasis on safety and quality.
• Exhibit strong mechanical skills.
• Assist in inventory cycle count and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Contribute to process improvement activities.
• May assist in shipping/receiving when necessary to ensure timely delivery.
• Order entry.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Previous experience with Hydraulic/Mechanical equipment a plus
• Mechanical aptitude
• Measuring, and some math skills
• Ability to read and follow assembly prints and diagrams.
• Strong customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift 50 pounds.
