<p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:inherit;"><p><b>Position:</b> Product Technician battery Lead Vents<p><b>Pay: </b>$26.59/hr+ Opportunity for overtime as well!<p><b>Shift/Hours</b>: Days | 12 hrs. | 2,2,3 schedule</p><ul><li>Day Shift: 7:05am – 7:20pm</li><li>Day Shift: 6:35am – 6:45pm</li></ul><p><b><u>What We Do Here</u></b><p>Our fully integrated plant in West Union, South Carolina produces all the parts that go into batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks. We began operations in 1985 and now employ more than 300 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through The Salvation Army, March of Dimes, back-to-school drives and the Oconee County Animal Shelter.<p><b><u>Primary Purpose </u></b><p>Lead BIC Operator, Lead PMV Operator, Lead CC/Specialty Specialist. Under general direction, performs and coordinates the listed responsibilities to ensure a fully trained shift running quality parts safety and at or above target productivity. Assists in further development of this position. Trains operators assigned to the shift and area and assists in setting training parameters per skill level. Participates in internal and external training events which may require work outside of scheduled hours on occasion. Leads the new HPT. Works together with Supervisors, Training Coordinator, Co-workers to improve communication, ensure standardized training and reach 5S and HPT goals.<p><b><u>Primary Responsibilities </u></b><p>Train temp to hire and full time Clarios operators from Level 0 to Level 2 skill platforms utilizing the standardized Road Map Training Check off List for the assigned area. </p><ul><li>Confirm trainee demonstration of competency.</li><li>Manage training priorities with supervisor and document using Excel. Plan for future training.</li><li>HPT Responsibility to report out on SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery Cost) results.</li><li>Conduct shift handoffs with prior shift and next shift department/area (stock, 5S improvements, operations, etc.)</li><li>Ensure beginning of shift safety checks are completed for assigned area.</li><li>Fill in on sets / tables when the department is short staffed for call offs or other short- term absences.</li><li>Lead / perform and ensure operator completion of 5S requirements for the department/area assigned.</li><li>Support the Supervisor with any needs including signing off on finished goods, hold tickets, walk backs, defect sorts, organizing team members when short staffed, assist with the Safety Work Instructions, PHILS and Work Instruction sign offs.</li><li>Support Techs with minor non-invasive issues with machines to help productivity and machine down time. </li><li>Maintain HPT Group Lead Cabinet that houses extra stock of minor machine parts including suction cups, hoses, sensors, tape, tools, etc. (cycle counts from shift to shift, restock).</li><li>Assist team with troubleshooting and machine operation issues.</li><li>Assist Break Reliever with Mega Grinder, Colored Grinders, Blenders, and Vamco Control Panel when needed.</li><li>Participate on the Safety Advisory Team </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><b><u>Qualifications</u></b></p><ul><li>Full competency on all machines in area assigned (i.e., all sets, all PMV jobs, all BIC tables).</li><li>M<span><span>ust be minimum of Level 3 Technician to apply</span></span></li><li>Attends all required training sessions/meetings; some require a change in work schedule.</li><li>Ability to successfully train others.</li><li>Self-motivated and self-managed to prioritize daily work needs.</li><li>Good verbal &amp; written communication skills – Effectively lead and work with team to ensure tasks and ensure completion.</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:inherit;"></p><p style="text-align:inherit;"><p><b>Who we are:</b><br />Clarios is the creator behind the world’s most recognizable car battery brands.
