We are currently hiring for a Sr. Electrical Engineer in West Union, SC. This is a desk-based position. This position is with our customer that is a world-leading company that focuses on making utilities efficient. Our customer supports the following industries: Electricity, Gas, Water, and Smart Cities (SmartGrid).
This is 12-month contract to hire role and you will be joining their R&D team.
Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer
Immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer at its West Union, South Carolina location to participate in the design of new products in the following applications: “Software-defined” wireless and powerline communications, embedded computing for “Edge Intelligence”, large-scale mesh networks, solid-state electricity meters, development of ASICs
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead new product development.
- Validate SOC, high speed digital interface, NAND, LPDDR2 and misc. analog circuits using oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, network analyzer, chamber, etc.
- Support design and projects in the areas of regulatory compliance, reliability analysis and testing, components selections and development process.
- Write clear and precise design and validation documentation.
- Work with manufacturing in defining the tests and fixtures needed for programming, functional verification and final tests.
- Provide technical support to internal departments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience related to development and validation of SOC, high speed digital interfaces, LPDDR, NAND, signal integrity, ARM, DSP, power management systems, and ASICs
- Expertise with laboratory instruments and equipment
- Familiarity with CAD tools
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Good understanding of RF circuits is a plus.
