<strong>Job Description: </strong><br><br>The Architect for Digital Manufacturing Solutions is a <strong>technical solutions</strong> manager, focused on leveraging<strong> technology in manufacturing to transform business processes, improve visibility, enable the workforce, and improve operational agility, quality, and productivity.</strong> At Hershey, you will be working with small, multi-disciplinary teams to <strong>develop TrakSYS solutions for our manufacturing plants.</strong> The Architect <strong>conceptualizes, designs, documents, constructs, tests, and implements industrial applications and hardware technologies to enable our plant's digital transformation.</strong> Applications range from <strong>OEE applications to full-scale MES/MOM applications across multiple facilities.</strong><br><br>Major Duties/Responsibilities:<br>&bull; Leads the <strong>design, development, and implementation of MES/MOM and system integration solutions projects</strong><br>&bull; Responsible for s<strong>olution architecture modeling and documentation</strong>, specification development, and <strong>technical design decisions</strong> for prioritized projects<br>&bull; Effectively works with <strong>implementation</strong> partners and development teams to efficiently translate business requirements into functional capabilities<br>&bull; Assesses complex technical environments and defines requirements for <strong>integration of new solutions</strong>, maintenance, and <strong>optimization</strong><br>&bull; Ensures solutions are <strong>scalable</strong> and can be sustained with close adherence to reference<strong> architectures</strong> and standards<br>&bull; Interacts and works with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment<br>&bull; Collaborates with business partners to advise, define and deliver capabilities in alignment with business and IT strategy<br><br><strong>Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:</strong><br>&bull; <strong> B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering from an accredited college/university</strong><br>&bull; <strong>Minimum of 10 years' experience in software development</strong><br>&bull; <strong>Minimum 6 years' experience developing or leading the development of MES, MOM, or manufacturing applications</strong><br>&bull; <strong> 2+ years' experience configuring and developing Parsec TrakSYS applications</strong><br>&bull; Experience <strong>programming in C# .NET</strong><br>&bull; Experience with <strong>T-SQL</strong><br>&bull; <strong> ISA-95 expertise</strong> and ability to<strong> architect manufacturing information solutions</strong><br>&bull; Expertise in all project phases including design, development, and implementation<br>&bull; Experience with customer requirements and specification development<br>&bull; Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly<br>&bull; Must be able to work successfully in a matrix structure, focused strongly on customer service and personnel growth<br>&bull; Must have experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment<br>&bull; Must have solid verbal and written communication skills<br>&bull; Must have a strong work ethic and be willing to travel up to 20% of the time and work in a plant environment.<br><br><strong>Nice to Have:</strong><br>&bull; Strong experience with C# .NET & MS SQL Server<br>&bull; Experience with 3rd party web controls (DevExtreme or equivalent)<br>&bull; Experience with design and development of interfaces with business systems (ERP, WMS, PLM, etc.)<br>&bull; Experience with OPC UA<br>&bull; Experience with UNS<br>&bull; MES platform experience (Rockwell, Siemens, AVEVA, Ignition/Sepasoft, etc.)<br>&bull; Experience with IIoT, Cloud, MQTT-Spark Plug
