Mechanical Engineering Manager

A globally prominent and rapidly growing manufacturer of cutting-edge production equipment seeks to expand their Design Engineering team. Due to an influx of exciting new, long-term business, they are hiring a <strong>Mechanical Design Engineering Lead</strong>. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role will serve in both technical (design and development) and leadership/supervisory capacities. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Design and develop high-quality components, systems, and assemblies for multiple product lines.</li><li>Supervise and mentor a growing team of mechanical design engineers.</li><li>Field questions and issues from junior staff prior to escalation to senior leadership.</li><li>Lead design review and design release functions for mechanical group.</li><li>Manage change control activities with respect to product and/or process changes.</li></ul><br><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering required.</li><li>7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.</li><li>High proficiency with Solidworks.</li><li>Extensive experience with design release phase of product development lifecycle.</li><li>Experience with leading change management / change control activities.</li></ul><br>Our client offers a comprehensive portfolio of insurance and retirement benefits along with a high-energy, collaborative culture.
