• Hours: 8am - 4:30pm M-F ( 4.5 hrs Teaching + 3.5 hrs PAID prep / day )

LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a full-time year round position in Brattleboro, VT. The certified teacher will work in a unique fast-paced behavioral health facility center; which involves working with pediatric and adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.

Responsibilities :

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 9-12 students in a small group setting
• Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
• Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. Qualifications:

• B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
• VT State Teaching Certification (or NH/MA license - Applicant will need to research reciprocity agreements)
• Comfortable working with students (ages 12-18)
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to students need
• Reliable Transportation
