This is personal for us.   POSITION OVERVIEW Job Overview: As the Inventory Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the inventory control processes within our cannabis facility. You will be responsible for overseeing the accurate tracking, monitoring, and replenishment of cannabis products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain efficient operations.
Responsibilities: Operational Excellence
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee the accurate tracking of all cannabis products, including flower, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
    • Conduct regular audits to verify inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Stock Replenishment:
    • Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
    • Monitor product expiration dates and coordinate with the team to manage product rotation.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a team of inventory associates, providing guidance, training, and support.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages productivity and accountability.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with dispensary managers and staff to coordinate inventory activities.
    • Communicate effectively to address inventory-related issues and implement solutions.
  • Training and Development:
    • Train and mentor inventory associates to ensure a well-trained and efficient team.
    • Provide ongoing guidance to staff on best practices for inventory control.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Utilize inventory management systems to generate reports and analyze data trends.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and distribution, to ensure seamless coordination of inventory activities.
    • Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory levels, discrepancies, and potential issues.
  • Product Intake:
    • Ensure compliance with local and state regulations for intake of cannabis products.
    • Communicate with dispensary staff to prepare for deliveries.
    • Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
    • Document and report any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
    • Handle and store products according to safety and compliance standards.
    • Coordinate with inventory team to update stock levels.
    • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
    • Ensure all shipments adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Maintain records and documentation for audits and inspections.
    • Train staff on compliance requirements and procedures.
    • Report any compliance issues to management promptly.
    • Oversee the entire process of receiving and processing truck deliveries
    • Ensure efficient and timely processing of shipments.
Customer Experience
  • Ensure Product Availability:
    • Maintain optimal stock levels of high-demand products to ensure customers always have access to their preferred cannabis products.
  • Improve Customer Interaction:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer preferences and trends, ensuring the inventory reflects the needs and desires of the clientele.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure all products are fresh, safe, and meet customer expectations, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Finance and Market Share
  • Revenue Enhancement:
    • Analyze sales data and inventory turnover rates to identify high-margin products, implementing strategies to promote and increase sales of these items.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging products, ensuring the dispensary's inventory remains competitive and appealing to customers.
Safety and Compliance
  • Compliance:
    • Stay informed about local and state regulations related to cannabis inventory management.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing inventory control in the cannabis industry.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Inventory Management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Solid understanding of cannabis regulations and inventory control best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business management or related field is a plus.
Additional notes The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, walking, and lifting or moving up to 40 pounds (or more with a co-worker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This job requires completion of an Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR) background check and badging process. You must have a valid state-issued ID and social security card to submit to the IDOA’s process.
