Job Description

Salud Family Health Centers and the University of Colorado Morgan County Rural Training Track are seeking a Family Physician with OB and faculty member to provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse population that includes all ages (pediatrics, adult, geriatric, and obstetric patients) and teaches 2nd and 3rd-year family medicine residents.

This opportunity includes:

Ability to provide full-scope family medicine care including obstetrics (with preference given for surgical OB) inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, and adult medicine (with an option to cover inpatient hospitalist medicine service)
Teaching and supervision of residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, resident advising, and curriculum development
Option to perform point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and numerous outpatient procedures with excellent procedural opportunities
Providing care to patients in the 2nd most diverse community in Colorado
Integrated care model including dental and behavioral health
Affiliation with the University of Colorado Department of Family Medicine, a leader in academic family medicine, allowing access to numerous research and faculty development opportunities

Qualifications

Education:

Graduation from an approved school of allopathic or osteopathic medicine

Licensure:

Possess a license to practice medicine in good standing in the State of Colorado
Board Certified Family Physician with the ability to do prenatal care
J1 visa waiver docs are eligible, but board certification has to be in family medicine

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Sensitivity to low-income and ethnic minority communities is a must
Ability to speak Spanish preferred
