The Probst Group is looking for a Project Engineer who will learn about wastewater equipment and processes to support our customers and develop unique engineered solutions. Expectations for the Project Engineer:

  • High level of technical curiosity and willingness to learn about our process, equipment options and client needs
  • Assist Probst Project Managers in exceeding client expectations by developing technical options
  • Review process data and prepare process design calculations
  • Gather and analyze client data for use in design development
  • Assist in the analysis of existing treatment processes and wastewater characteristics to determine existing loadings to wastewater treatment plants (WWTP)
  • Evaluate, select, and apply various wastewater treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or develop designs
  • Complete bid requests and evaluate quotations for equipment and contractors
  • Work with drafters to develop site layouts, process flows and process instrumentation diagrams
  • Develop and review design calculations, engineering reports, technical memos, and operation & maintenance manuals for industrial wastewater treatment systems
Requirements:

Requirements for the Project Engineer:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably with a focus in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Ability to work in a state-of-the-art collaborative environment located in Hartland, WI
  • Willingness to visit clients at their sites to develop an understanding of process and equipment requirements. Travel up to 20% may be required, depending on project demands
  • Display strong, concise written communication, primarily for reports, directions, or proposals
  • Coursework or experience in Industrial Wastewater Management is a plus
