Job Responsibilities/Duties

Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) manages one of the most challenging radioactive waste cleanup projects in the country. Our focus is reducing the environmental risk posed by 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste stored in 177 underground tanks on the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The Special Projects Manager is responsible for providing administrative, operational and/or technical leadership, oversight, guidance, and consultation to resolve complex issues in support of TOC programs/activities in a variety of disciplines. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, performing and documenting complex audit testing under planned audit engagements or special requests to support the Chief Audit Executive, the Board of Managers, and the WRPS Management team. Directs the daily activities of assigned auditors, monitor work progress, and instruct staff on proper audit techniques. Provides leadership and services as a resource to less experienced audit team members. Reviews Significant and highly complex company systems and related controls including policies, procedures, technical documents, DOE Orders and Directives, Federal Acquisition Regulations and Government Cost Accounting Standards to insure the company is operating within guidelines and in compliance. Document and evaluate internal controls. Review procedures, conduct interviews, prepare system descriptions and flowcharts. Perform research on laws, regulations and contract obligations related to risk assessments, fieldwork, and reporting to ensure opinions are well supported.

Specific Duties

* Perform indirect rate audit(s) included on the Board of Managers and DOE approved annual audit plan.

* Coordinate with external auditors services performing audits on behalf of the WRPS Internal Audit team and communicate results to Internal Audit Manager and procurement.

* Perform annual timekeeping audit (Control and Compliance) when necessary.

* Primary contact and performer for audit advisory services and Special Request engagements.

* Supervise any audit staff assigned to the Special Projects team.

* Support Management team as a compliance advisor during the 24/7 operational initiatives.

* Liaison with field management teams to communicate and understand risk concerns within WRPS.

* Assist in training Internal Audit staff.

* Perform other audits or special projects in support of the Internal Audit mission under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager.

Required Qualifications

Grade 20: Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 10 years' directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Grade 21: Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 12 years' directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Desired Qualifications

* Experience in performing and completing direct and indirect rate audits.

* Experience coordinating with external audit firms.

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or similar certification.

* Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, software.

* COSO control framework and causal analysis experience

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum: $126,025

Hiring Range Maximum: $174,900
