Company Summary : Our client is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a large hospital located in Richmond, Washington.
Position Summary: The ideal candidates shall possess Washington Registered Nurse License, BLS and has at least 1 year of working at NICU.
Responsibilities ;
•Monitor the vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall health of premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring timely detection and response to any changes.
•Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and nutritional support as prescribed by neonatologists, and perform necessary medical procedures such as intubation and blood draws.
•Provide emotional support and education to the families of newborns, teaching them how to care for their infants and involving them in the care process.
•Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
•Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, documenting assessments, treatments, and patient responses to care.
•Implement and adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect vulnerable infants from hospital-acquired infections.
•Willing to travel
Shift hours:
  • 4 openings: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 working hours per week), night shift
Required qualifications:
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program (associate degree, minimum)
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire:
  • 1 year of Acute Care Nursing experience in NICU
