<strong>Data Privacy Specialist - 6 month contract (</strong>Preferably available on-site 1 to 2 days a week, and willing to travel on-site as required) 30-40 hrs a week, EST hrs, starting in July 2024. <br><br><strong>Background: </strong>The client is a leading global healthcare organization which engages in the discovery, development, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical products. They currently have a lot of ongoing project work that is impacting their team in the US, and they are specifically focusing on Privacy initiatives. There has been an influx of documents and requests, and so, they need the support of a Senior Data Privacy Specialist. <br><br><strong>Role and Responsibilities:</strong><br><br>Work with AD Privacy, Ethics & Compliance to provide privacy guidance and consent compliance support to colleagues across all functions and business units. <br><br>Provide support for consent compliance program, including maintaining the consent matrix and tools, and designing processes to keep the consent matrix and tools current. <br><br>Assist with data mapping, including conducting informational interviews, crafting and maintaining records and designing processes to keep the records current. <br><br>Create and maintain an organized structure for tracking and reporting on key privacy initiatives and consent assessments. <br><br>Conduct privacy impact assessments of programs, systems, products, and services related to commercial and HR related activities. <br><br>Monitor new and upcoming privacy and data protection laws in the US, regulatory developments and the privacy practices of peer companies. <br><br>Assist with managing and improving process and procedures. <br><br>Assist in developing and administering privacy training and awareness campaigns. <br><br><strong>Required skill / experience:</strong> <br><br>1-3 years of work experience focused on issues related to privacy and data protection particularly, in connection with data mapping. <br><br>Firm grasp of privacy and data protection laws (e.g., COPAA, GDPR, CCPA (+new state laws), HIPAA). <br><br>Skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements to privacy programs is a plus. <br><br>Experience with consent compliance management for websites is a plus.
