Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join our Medical Surgical ICU team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including those recovering from surgery, trauma, and medical emergencies.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, collaborating with case managers and social workers.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, with licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

The Medical Surgical ICU is a 12-bed unit at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee, providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
