The Van Drunen Family of Companies is growing!<br> <br> <b>JOB OVERVIEW:</b> <br> <br>As Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will hold a key position within our highly creative Process Innovation team. This team is responsible for process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across our multi-plant network. You will also play an important role in helping to foster a culture of sustainable change at our facilities. This role will create, promote, and support a framework that delivers and tracks strategic and practical continuous operational improvement activity across the company.<br> <br> <b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> <br>&bull; Help identify and prioritize strategic process improvement opportunities across the Operations network that are focused on the company and operations goals.<br>&bull; Work with key business stakeholders and our plant leadership teams to build a Continuous Improvement environment that supports an ongoing method of change.<br>&bull; Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal and cost reduction <br>&bull; Desire and ability to learn about all manufacturing processes at VDF. Deep understanding of each process and what improvement opportunities are present.<br>&bull; Design and recommend equipment upgrades, new equipment purchases, and opportunities for automation.<br>&bull; Ability to analyze data to help make decisions<br>&bull; Drive process standardization and implement metrics and best practices.<br>&bull; Identify ongoing Lean improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training.<br> <br> <b>KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:</b> <br>&bull; Fundamental understand of Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles<br>&bull; Ability to learn, unlearn and relearn <br>&bull; An excellent communicator with well-developed presentation skills<br>&bull; Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities at both a strategic and practical level<br>&bull; Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome<br>&bull; Confidence in your abilities to lead process and organizational change<br>&bull; Ability to organize and plan the efficient and productive use of time and people<br> <br> <b>EDUCATION:</b> <br>A bachelor's degree in engineering, process management, or operations or a combination of other relevant experience.<br> <br> <b>WORKING CONDITIONS:</b> <br> <br>&bull; No working conditions specified.<br> <br> <b>Disclaimer</b> <br> <b>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
