JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary Advance your career while caring for Wisconsin veterans! This is a highly responsible advanced-level professional nursing position that provides management of direct care activities and oversight of personnel at WVHUG when first-line supervisors are absent. The Nurse Clinician 3 functions as the Administrative Charge Nurse, assuming facility-wide responsibility for nursing staff, services and activities. The incumbent performs administrative duties under the general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor (DON) and with direction from the Assistant DON and Veterans Home Administrator (Commandant). Job Details The position is part-time (60%) NOC shift (11:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.) and works every-other weekend and alternates weekdays - Tuesday and Friday one week and Monday and Thursday the opposite week. Due to the nature of the position, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. A 12-month probationary period may be required. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated.
