Yes</span></p><p><span>World Learning, Inc. is seeking a Campus Housing Coordinator to manage the on-campus residency component of World Learning's New Vermonter Education Program (NVEP) which provides English language and cultural orientation courses for newly resettled refugees in southern Vermont. The coordinator will assist residents as they arrive on campus, assisting with facility access and use, coordinating housing orientations and safety briefings, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents as they adapt to their temporary housing on campus in a dormitory setting.</span></p><p><strong><span>Responsibilities</span></strong></p><ul><li><span>New arrival orientations, including familiarization with building systems (cooking, sanitary, and HVAC), introduction to cleanliness standards and responsibility related to sharing common facilities, and introduction to other building residents.</span></li><li><span>Collection of new arrival paperwork including housing agreements and emergency contact information.</span></li><li><span>Regular inspection of dormitories to assure compliance with safety/cleanliness standards and assisting with any ongoing issues adapting to unfamiliar systems and standards.</span></li><li><span>Tracking of new arrivals and departures in close coordination with refugee resettlement agency.</span></li><li><span>Support coordination of resident cultural orientations provided by World Learning and refugee resettlement agency.</span></li><li><span>Informs residents about relevant campus and relevant local activities (will be responsible for creating these schedules and contributing to other master calendars).</span></li><li><span>Organizing on or off campus activities to build a sense of community as well as for recreational and mental health.</span></li><li><span>Attends and participates in staff meetings and training sessions related to residents.</span></li><li><span>Liaise between World Learning, current residents, local resettlement agency, volunteers, and other organizations contributing to refugee resettlement in southern Vermont.</span></li><li><span>Position requires the maintenance of regular on-campus office hours to be available to residents as needed to address questions and concerns they may have, including referral to relevant partner (e.g., resettlement agency) to assist with questions/concerns.</span></li><li><span>On-call availability to assist residents with residency issues, including lockouts, building system issues, and resident emergencies. The coordinator will be supported by on-call campus maintenance staff to assist with after-hours issues.</span></li></ul><p><strong><span>Requirements</span></strong></p><p><span>Required Experience/Education:</span></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Student Affairs or a related field.</span></li><li><span>Minimum of 2-5 years or experience in housing services, case management, or housing management.</span></li><li><span>Experience working with adults and children from multi-cultural backgrounds.</span></li></ul><br /><p><span>Required Skills and Competencies:</span></p><ul><li><span>Proven organizational and time-management skills.
