Blossoming Minds prides itself on valuing "quality over quantity" and doing what is best for children instead making decisions based on profit. Our focus on quality extends to taking good care of our teachers as well. Our Director, Kristen, worked in the classroom for 10 years and prioritizes the teacher experience just as much as the child's experience. We are seeking a two Assistant Toddler Teachers, one for our 1's room and one for our 2's room.

You will help the Head Teacher maintain a high quality classroom, serving up to 8 toddlers. We are looking for a candidate with flexible availability between 7:45 am - 6:15 pm as your shift may vary in that time frame Monday through Friday.

*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*

Prime candidates must have at least a year of experience in a toddler daycare classroom

Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a healthy and nurturing learning environment
  • Providing a safe and loving environment for the children under their care
  • Dedicated team member upholding our standard of quality, expectations, and strong reputation
  • Representing Blossoming Mind’s mission and values
  • Following of Employee and Center's Policies and Procedures
  • Understanding and implementing the objectives/expectations within your classroom
  • Understanding and following of all state regulations within the building
  • Meeting annual professional development requirements, per state regulations
  • Working collaboratively with all faculty and fostering a team-based work environment
  • Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child
  • Usage of center app for inputting notifications of each child's daily log
  • Establishing positive and effective family relations
  • Implementing lesson plans following CT Early Learning Development Standards for teaching a quality program full of rich curriculum experiences
  • Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
  • Preparing of food and snacks for children as provided by parents
  • Supervising children and incorporating appropriate activities
  • Ensuring all classroom areas are kept clean

Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of daycare experience in a toddler classroom
  • Demonstrated leadership and team player qualities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with children and families
  • Show empathy and compassion for young children
  • Dependable, reliable, adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to properly lift children
  • Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations
  • Caring, loving, and energetic individual who enjoys teaching young children
  • Must meet state criteria for child care employment
