Job Description

Led by the community's Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care, we are looking for a compassionate resident attendant to assist CNA’s with tasks other than direct hands-on care with residents.

Schedules:

  • 6am - 2pm and/or 2pm to 10pm and weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Encouraging and escorting residents to meals, activities, and in-house salon appointments.
  • Maintains resident’s bed making, laundry, general tidying and trash removal
  • Assists with prepping and setting up meals
  • Assists with serving and monitoring meals
  • One on one or group activities assistance
  • Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all residents
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
  • Other duties assigned

Physical Abilities

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly a plus but not required.
