$40 - $45/hour (Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half)

Scope of Services:

The Software Verification Engineer II will design and perform software testing activities, ensuring the reliability and functionality of software products. This role involves interacting with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage specifications using industry-approved tools. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clear and concise communication is key to this role.

Role, Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and functionality.

Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to understand requirements and specifications.

Utilize industry-approved tools to manage and track software specifications, defects, and testing progress.

Identify, document, and report software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing and verification.

Participate in code reviews, providing feedback on testability and potential quality issues.

Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Provide detailed reports and documentation of test results, including test coverage, defect density, and quality metrics.

Communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders clearly and effectively.



Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in software testing and verification.

Proficiency in using industry-standard software testing tools and frameworks.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in managing and tracking specifications using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is a plus.

Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is preferred but not required.
