The Industrial/Automation Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of manufacturing engineering activities within the organization, with a particular focus on automation. This role involves conducting comprehensive studies to optimize workflow and spatial utilization, recommending and acquiring the appropriate equipment for production line expansion or modification, and ensuring that all projects and department goals are achieved within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all manufacturing engineering activities, emphasizing automation to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct operational studies to maximize workflow, spatial utilization, and overall process efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend the acquisition of equipment to expand or modify production lines to meet the organization's objectives.
  • Manage subordinate staff in their daily tasks, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee project and department milestones, ensuring they are met on time and within approved budgets.
  • Exercise full authority for personnel actions, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align industrial engineering activities with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Continuously improve department processes, leveraging extensive knowledge and experience in the field.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in manufacturing engineering, with significant exposure to automation.
  • 1 to 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, automation technologies, and equipment procurement.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and teams effectively, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
